Doubt is scary. Truly.
It meddles with your head, your heart...
and it sticks its fat, ugly nose into your life
like an unwanted acquaintance.
Doubt can ruin people.
Why do we doubt?
Is it our lack of self esteem?
Insecurity? Lies? Fears?
Trust? Broken promises?
False pretensions?
Doubt wears masks
and none of her faces are pretty...
They hide things-
important things that
should never be hidden. Ever.
In order to abolish doubt, one must
take the first step and face
the roots of their doubts.
It can and will be difficult, painful, tiresome,
humiliating, and pathetic.
But once you look doubt in the eye
and acknowledge it as such,
you can begin to heal.
Once a person sees their fears
to be irrational, their doubts too, lose potency.
Soon, you'll be able to see clearly without
the looming fog of doubt,
the darkness of fear,
and the gray matter of uncertainty.
And after the worries melt away,
a person may finally see things without
thinking twice or looking over their shoulder.
Minds will open and sights and sounds
will be absorbed.
You will see yourself for who you are.
And every previous doubt you've had will
now seem petty and childish...
There's a reason people say, "face your fears."
Because if you don't, they control you.
